Show Sextuplet Birth Delving among Chinese unnals, Dr. Berthold Laufer, curator of anthropology anthro-pology at Field Museum of Natural History, Chicago, has found no record rec-ord of a quintuplet, birth in that country, but has discovered records of two sextuplet births. In 1574, according ac-cording to the Chinese historians, a woman in Kwang-p'ing tu, Chi-H province, Is said to have given birth to six children at once. In 1S05 a woman in a village of Kwei-chou province pro-vince was reported as bearing six sons, and mother and children all lived. Records of Chi-H province state also that in 1527 a woman of Hokien gave birth to seven girls at the same time, but none of them survived. |
