Show C.C.C. WORKER DIES INSALT LAKE Vernelt Nathaniel Peterson, 10, former C. C. C. worker at the desert range camj west of Milford and a resident of Tooele, died in a Salt Lake ho-pital Friday night of embolism. em-bolism. Mr. Peterson was taken to Salt l-ake on September 12, to receive further treatment for a broken leg suffered when a truck carrying him and 20 other workers overturned in a wash near Milford, July 21. At the time of the accident the group were en route to Bryce canyon for a plea-s plea-s u i tri p. He was treated at Milford for more than a month prior to being taken t) Salt Lake. Two other workers were injured in the same accident, but recovered re-covered sufficiently to return to work. Mr. Peterson was born in Salt like, January 19, l'.i03, a son of Ne!s W. and Martha Staker Peterson. He had lived in Tooele for the last several years. Surviving are his parent.-i tibiree brothers, George C. Peterson of Tooele; Too-ele; William Peterson of Salt Lake and Richard W. Peterson of McGill, Nevada, and five sisters, Mrs. Eva Smith, Mrs. May C. Yeager and Mrs. Vera M. Kerr of Salt Lake, Mrs. Elsie El-sie M. Dye of Tooele and Mrs. Vivian Wickburg of Ely, Nevada. Funeral services for Mr. Peterson Were held Tuesday in one of the Salt like mortuary chapel and under Christian Science auspices. Dr. Stewart of the regional forest office, and several Camp Cahill boys, in Salt Lake for the weekend, attended the funeral services and interment as representatives of comrades in the C. C. C. service. o |
