Show MOISTURE SURVEY PRESAGES DROUTH The annual snow survey taken recently re-cently by the Tellu'ride Power company com-pany on the snow course at Merchant Mer-chant valley, in Beaver canyon, reveals re-veals 13.1 inches of snow, with a! water content of 4.1 inches. These figures are slightly below figures or 1931, the drouth year in this section, sec-tion, when 14 inches of snow were' measured, with a water content of J 1.6 inches. In 1932 there were 37.13; inches of snow, water content 10.52 inches: in 1933, 25.2G inches of snow, with a water content of 6.22 inches. In spite of the fact that the snow measurements point ioVard a dry season, many believe plenty of irri- gation water will be available, as' much rain has fallen over the moun- j tain area during the winter and will 1 come into the -streams by way of springs. j The outlook for water in the Kent's' lake section, southeast of Merchant1-valley Merchant1-valley is quite bright, says Kent's I Lake Irrigation company officials,' who report snow water now is flowing' flow-ing' into the lake. |
