Show STATE TAX MEN TO BE HERE SOON On a date between March 12 and 15, the exact time to be announced in our next week's issue, Harry C. Baker and Paul C. Kimball, field agents of the state tax commission, will be stationed is Milford between the hours of 9 a. m. and 5 p. m. for the purpose of assisting the taxpayers tax-payers in the vicinity of Milford in the preparation ot tneir income ano corporation franchise tax returns, These men will be in Milford for the convenience of the taxpayers and will make their headquarters and meet the public in the offices of Messrs. Cline and Cline, attorneys at law. These agents will be authorized to collect taxes and to administer oaths and affirmations, but they are not authorized to accept fees for any services rendered the public. In view of the fact that there has been a general misunderstanding throughout the state on the- part of the public regarding the action taken by the last legislature in respect to the filing fee feature of the income tax law, the public is hereby inform-et inform-et ' that the income tax law was not repealed and that the universal filing fil-ing and payment of the filing fee is still required. March 15 will be the last day upon which income tax returns can be filed without penalty for delinquency and no general extension of time for filing returns will be granted by the tax commission this year. |
