Show VERNON JOHNSON DIES IN CALIFORNIA Vernon Clifford Johnson, for many years a resident of Milford, passed away at his home in Hollywood, California, Cali-fornia, Friday, January 29, after a lingering illness of creeping paralysis. paralys-is. Mr. Johnson came to this county in the employee of the railroad company at Nada in 1919. He transferred to the Pacific Fruit Express company in April of 1924 and moved to Milford where he resided with his family until un-til his health began to fail in 1929. While retaining his position with the company he spent most of his time the past few years in Cali,forni.r, where he was receiving treatments for his affliction. Mr. Johnson was born October 26, 1893 in Thief River Falls, Minnesota. He graduated from the Virginia, Minnesota Min-nesota high school and attended the University at Madison, Wis. He was married in 1920, and leaves to mourn his departure his wife, Mrs. Ida George Johnson, a son, Clifford, aire six years; his mother, Mrs. J. E. Rambler, and sister Mrs. Roy O. Dunham, Dun-ham, of Scotia, New York. Funeral services were held in Hollywood Monday, and were attended attend-ed by a number of Milford and former form-er MilforM residents, among whom were Mr. and Mrs. H. V. Carlson, Sam Cline. Mr. and Mrs. C. E. Moore and family, Mrs. G. R. Wilcox, and Mrs. Chas. G. Newhart and daughter Avanelle. The remains were cremated. |
