Show COUNTY MINING DISTRICTS ARE BEING " THOROUGHLY PROSPECTED FOR ORE DEVELOPMENT OF MINES AND INDEPENDENT CLAIMS IS PUSHED RAPIDLY The mining industry in Beaver county received further impetus throughout the month of June, with many property stockholders, as well as prospective ones, visiting the districts dis-tricts known as the Star, San Francisco, Fran-cisco, Rocky, Beaver Lake, as well as isolated claims. Much prospecting has been carried on by men who make mining a vocation and by men with other occupations who seize upon spare hours for claim development work. ' Capitol Hill A party of stockholders and other interested men from Salt Lake came down Tuesday to inspect the property proper-ty known as the old Capitol Hill mine. They spent several days here, being shown about the property by E. H. Bird, who is interested in the developments. This property is about four miles southwest, and is the closest to town of any of the mineralized miner-alized acreages. A new fissure, just exposed, gives excellent indications of values in ore. McCune Gets High Asaay Near the Capitol Hill, Joe McCune has some property which recent assays as-says shown to have high grade ore content. Mr. McCune selected samples this week which he sent in to the U. S. Smelling, Refining and Milling company, at Midvale. This company sent back a report which gave the gross value of the specimens as $G0.-72 $G0.-72 per ton. Gold was 1.210 ounces per ton; silver 11 ounces per ton, and the lead content was r,ct at 21.9 per cent.
