Show o ST. GEORGE YOUTH MEETS INSTANT DEATH Word was received here Thursday of a terrible accident which occured at St. George that day, when Leland Stevens, son .of Air. and Mrs. Chas. Stevens, was electrocuted. The accident occurred at the home of the boy's grandfather, Charles Walker, with whom the Stevens family fami-ly resided. Mr. Walker had just returned home with his two grandsons, had helped them from the wagon and had gone to put up his team, the boys stopping to play in the street before going to the house. Leland evidently picked up the wire and started toward the yard. A party of tourists said they saw the boys playing with the wire that was on the ground but were unaware that it was charged. They said the younger boy started toward the house carrying the wire. As he reached a ditch in front of the home he was seen to waver and then toppled over into the water. From all indications he was electrocuted as he came in contact with the water. A doctor was summoned but from all appearances the boy had died Instantly. In-stantly. A coroner's Jury was ap- pointed to determine the exact cause of the boy's death. The father of the boy was away from home at the time of the accident, acci-dent, being employed at the Grand Canyon.
