Show AS OTHERS THINK THE SAME FELLOW WAS HERE Yesterday morning a stranger parked a truck load of oranges on Forest street near the First National Bank building and did a real business, remaining there until late in the evening, selling two dozen jumble pack oranges for 25 cents. In all probability it was the same parties that have been selling this grade of oranges in Salt Lake City recently, and having ran out of customers, came to Brig-ham. Brig-ham. What are "Jumble Pack" oranges? They are culls, thrown away in California as worthless. You will not find the stamp "Sun Kist" on this grade of oranges. Regular dealers will not carry them. They are not uniform in size, some are very small. They are the culls after all other grades have been selected and marked "Sun Kist." The local markets says they refuse to ship Jumble Pack oranges to this city because they are not standard and are not marketable. The stores in Brigham City have been selling better oranges, two dozen for 30 and 35 cents and they are worth every cent paid for them and very little profit is made at those prices. Why buy cheap merchandise peddled on the streets by srangers who immediately leave town with your money? Especially when you can get better bargains from your friends and neighbors at home? W. R. Holmes in the Box Elder Journal. |
