Show o AN IDAHO VOICE Ye gods! What's a hundred thousand now days? It seems to be the popular "steal" of the trusted ones. First the state treasury of our neighboring state Utah was robbed of more than a hundred thousand by ONE person; " then the Salt Lake City treasury was frisked by a TRUSTED TRUST-ED officer another hundred thousand missing! And to cap all these affairs, now comes the domicile city of Provo (Utah) with a report that there is a shortage in their city treasury dating back ABOUT FOUR YEARS, which is prior to the present incumbent in that office. How long are city officials going to be allowed to defy the laws relative to the publishing of certified financial statements of the affairs of municipalties ? Just as long as the public sits in the background and allows its HIRED servants ser-vants to loot their treasuries, just so long will they blind these men by temptation to use easy money the brunt of which falls on the bonding companies. It is pleasing to note that premiums on bonds of public officials in Utah, Idaho and Nevada have greatly increased. Under present circumstances the companies are entitled to it. H. M.
