Show GOLDEN WEDDING ANNIVERSARY The Golden wedding anniversary of James and Jane Neill Boyter was held at the home of their daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. W. E. Fern-ley. Fern-ley. They were married in Beaver, Utah, September 26th, 1878, by the Rev. George E. Jayne, of the M. E. church. James Boyter was born at Dundee, Forfarshire, Scotland, February 17th, 1854 and served his apprenticeship as a stone-cutter and builder. Emigrated Emigra-ted to this country along with his brother, Alexander, April 1876. Jane Neill Boyter, was born in Dundee, Dun-dee, Forfarshire, Scotland, June 20th, 1854. She came to this country on Mr. Bovter's reauest after a Ions- ac quaintance and correspondence. She arrived in Salt Lake City, the fore part of September, 1878. They were honored by six children and twenty-one grandchildren, and ten great-grandchildren- Two members of the family which certain conditions caused their absence were Mr. and Mrs. E. D. Crandall and family. In accordance with the celebration, dinner was called for 6:30 p. m. The decorations were beautiful. Members of the family and a number of invited guests were present. Among thos3 who attended the Anniversary were: Mr. and Mrs. H. K. Boyter and family, fami-ly, Mr. and Mrs. H. Cartwright and family, Mr. and Mrs. W. E. Fernley and "family; grand-son, Mr. and Mrs-A. Mrs-A. Jolly and family; grand-daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Art Ewell and daughter, grand-daughter, Miss Maud Jolly, Mr. and Mrs. W. F. Stirling, Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Cochrane and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. James F. Glenn, Mr. and Mrs. R. Quaill. After a tasty and hearty repast had been served, Mr and Mrs. James Boyter Boy-ter were presented with many valuable valu-able presents from members of the family and also the guests. A very valuable, unique present from Mr. and Mrs. James F. Glenn, was a gold Sovereign, dated 1863. All spent a very pleasant and happy evening. |
