Show Beaver-Born Girl Weds in Cathedral Of interest to home folks is the announcement of the marriage of Miss Alice McShane to John J. Pitman. The Cathederal of Madeline was the scene of the beautiful wedding, Saturday Sat-urday morning at 10 o'clock. Miss McShane, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. O. P. McShane, became the bride of John J. Pitman, son of Mr. and Mrs. James Pitman, at a nuptial mass celebrated by Monsignor D. d. Hunt, IV. G. j Long before the appointed hour, the church was filled with friends of the young couple. Preceding the ceremony a musical program was given by the organist, Miss Ethel Hogan. The procession was led by the ushers, ush-ers, Joseph Wendt and Frank Smith, followed by the bridesmaids. The bridesmaids included Miss Marion Buller, Miss Helen Keything, Miss Victoria Pitman, Miss Betty Pitman. Pit-man. The bride was preded by her maid of honor, Miss Margaret O'Rourke, who wore peach colored chiffon, a model similar to those worn by the bridesmaids. The bride followed on the arm of her father, 0. F. McShane, and was lovely in her wedding gown of ivory satin with duchess lace bertha, the skirt fashioned with uneven hem line and tight bodice. The bridal veil was held in place with a crown of lace and orange blossoms. . The bride carried a shower of bride roses and lilies of the valley. Paul McGinley was best man- During the ceremony, the 'Ave Maria,' 'Roswig,' and the 'Ave Verum' were sung by Miss Mary Ellen Hy-land. Hy-land. The bridal party left the cathederal to the strains of Mendelsohn's Wedding Wed-ding March, played by Miss Hogan. A wedding breakfast at the McShane Mc-Shane home on First Avenue followed the ceremony. The home was attractively attrac-tively decorated with a profusion of late fall flowers in the pastel shades. The bride's table was centered with a large wedding cake and bronze chrysanthemums centered the smaller tables where the bridesmaids and relatives were seated. The young couple left early in the afternoon for Idaho Falls, where they will make their home. The bride wore a smart going away ensemble of cocoa brown satin with accessories to match. |
