Massachusetts. The citations which comprise the I,':.-;.-on-Sermon include the following-f following-f rom the "Bible: "Woe unto them that rise up early in the morning-, that they may follow strong- drink; that continue until night, till wine inflame them." (Isaiah 6; 11). The Lesson-Sermon also includes the following correlative passage from1 the Christian Science textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures," by Mary Baker Eddy: "The depraved appetite for alcoholic drinks, tobacco, tea, coffee, opium, is I destroyed only by Mind's mastery of the body. This normal control is gained through divine strength and understanding." (P-406). |
