Show LIONS' MEETING IS A QUIET AFFAIR A very large turnout of members was present at the Lions luncheon held this week at the Union Pacific and at which the discussion was casual and mostly of a nature of club routine. One new thing touched upon was the coming election of officers to guide the club during its next fiscal year. A nominating committee will be named by President Clay next week and the election will occur in two weeks. Other matters of local Interest touched upon were a report by H. F. Chanslor on funds contributed to send the boys from Milford to the state track meet; a request for support sup-port of the ball given for the benefit bene-fit of our fire department; and the naming of K. S. Carlton as alternate alter-nate to A. E. Smith as delegate to the International convention at Louisville in June. Mr. Bain mentioned the possibility possibili-ty of one of the bigger moving pictures pic-tures being filmed in this county. Mention was also made of plans for the state convention to be held next week at Midvale. |
