Show NINE GRADUATES COMPLETE COURSE AS CLASS OF 1929 DIPLOMAS AND AWARDS WILL BE GIVEN TONIGHT Nine young people, six girls and three boys, will receive diplomas from the hands of the Reaver County Coun-ty Board of Education Friday evening, even-ing, at the tenth annual Commencement Commence-ment exercises of the Milford high school. The graduates this year are Ormy Devine, Lauretta Murdock, Tom Sehow, Hannora Hutchins, Estelle Nebeker, Bill Ellingsworth, Irene Watts, Yerna Bird and Robert Tomsik. With the giving of the diplomas, various special attainments will be rewarded by prizes. The Barton medal, given annually by John Barton, Bar-ton, to the most outstanding graduate, gradu-ate, and the Pool Declamation mlal will be awarded at this time. Commencement Ball Following the graduation exercises, the alunmi of a few minutes, will he hosts' to a big dance to be held in the high school gymnasium. On last Friday evening, this year's graduating class went to much work and a great deal of expense for '.heir annual Senior Kop. Elaborate ; decorations were used and the affair should have been one of the most outstanding of such events. Unfor-cunately, Unfor-cunately, the dance was very poorly attended, either the Milford public must have not been in a dancing mood, or whatever the cause, the small Senior class was left heavily in debt The Commencement dance is given so that the outgoing class may have .-ome means of settling up the various vari-ous obligations incurred. The expense was undertaken previously for the sole benefit ef the public, and for j that reason, the dance this evening I should be well patronized, being, as J it is, the last time that local people will have a chance to show its appreciation ap-preciation of what these young people peo-ple are doing as a class. o |
