Show ! ALL MILFORD I , ENJOYING POOL New Swimming Pool Opened Last Friday Attendance Atten-dance Large Little, big, young and old, are taking tak-ing their daily dip in the splendid new swimmSng pool opened to the public last Friday. From all indications the pool is furnishing a much needed summer recreation spot, and the Lions feel that they have accomplished a worth-while project in providing facilities fac-ilities for this sport. The attendance from the time of opening op-ening has been greater than anticipated, anticipat-ed, and even the long row of convenient conven-ient bath houses have been inadequate to care for the number of swimmers at times. For this reason the matter of adding additional dressing rooms on the south end of the pool was discussed dis-cussed by the board in charge of the i pool, but considering the lateness of the season and the fact that the Lions club is several hundred dollars in debt on the pool at the present time, it was decided not to make any further extensive ex-tensive improvements until next season. sea-son. : , ; However, the special woven wire fence will be put up and other smaller smal-ler improvements made. The pool has been passed on by the state board as meeting all sanitary requirements. re-quirements. W. L. Vorhees has been placed in charge to render service to the bathers and keep the premises in first-class condition. j |
