Show SOCIAL HOUR CLUB CLOSES ACTIVITIES FOR YEAR 1928 About fifty- people attended the dinner given by the Social Hour club members, on the evening of Dec. 6th. J Regrets were expressed for. those I absent through illness and pity for j those who forgot the date. I At 7:30, all were seated at the gaily decodated tables and did ample justice jus-tice to the delicious supper provided by the ladies. Don Pocock sang most pleasingly "The Trees and the Wind." Miss Inez Deeming and Miss Margaret Cates in costume, entertained with an exhibition exhibi-tion of the now popular 'tap' dancing. The remainder of the evening was spent with a '500' game and dancing. j"It is rumored that the men may prepare pre-pare a similar repast and invite the ladies on the first Saturday night in January, but as yet there is no positive posi-tive confirmation. Guests and families famili-es reluctantly departed, all wishing that such . pleasant times came man frequently. ...... This closes the club's activities for the year 1928., The next meeting will be held the first Thursday in January, Janu-ary, hostesses and meeting placa to be announced later. |
