Snow drifts north of Milford tied up several passenger and frieght trains at this place for from eight to twelve hours Wednesday. Dan Heber Ferguson, a long-time resident of Milford, passed to his reward re-ward February 20. He was 59 years old. The town board of Milford met Saturday night. There were present Mayor Ralph Pitchforth, Trustee, Elmer, Hickman and Hanks; Marshal Mar-shal Baxter, and City Clerk Ingols. Business in connection with the sale of the sewer bonds occupied much of the time. Mr. and Mrs. A. L. Dotson, of Minersville Min-ersville ,are rejoicing over the arrival arriv-al of a daughter. Seven carloads of range cattle were shipped this week by Douglas Gillies to Colorado. A. L. Dotson, of Minersville, received re-ceived a carload of Maxwell automobiles automo-biles this week. Tony Poulson was acquitted of selling liquor to an Indian. The infant child of Mr. and Mrs. Fred White, passed away this week. Mr., and Mrs. F. B. Robinson were called to Twin Falls, Idaho, Saturday by a telegram telling of the illness of Mrs. Robinson's daughter, K. Franke. E. F. Bingham, one of the well known pioneers of Minersville met with a fatal accident Friday when he was thrown from a horse and struck the ground violently, causing concussion concus-sion of the brain. He died Saturday. Mr. and Mrs. Earl Jackson left this week in A. M. Gilbert's Buick automobile for Cal)ifornia via Ely. They are taking the machine through for Mr. and Mrs. Gulbert who went by rail. The Pantages group of entertainers entertain-ers who were stranded here by the snow blockade, gave an entertainment entertain-ment and dance at the opera house which was largely attended. Mrs. L. E. Hicks is opening up a new millinery store. |
