Show !i ; MISS WOODSIDE PRAISED FOR WORK IN SERVING i SCHOOL LUNCHES Each organization having been asked to send a representative to the school each week to acquaint themselves them-selves with the work that is being accomplished by the domestic science class in serving the noon lunche.-l each day, Mrs. L. D. McFadden was appointed by the Ladies Auxiliary of the B. of R. T., and spent each noon at the school during the past week. Mrs. McFadden reports that a wonderful work is being carried on by M'is.s Jean Woodside and her domestic do-mestic science class. Sixty-two pupils pu-pils were served each day, which entails en-tails a vast amount of hard work, but which is accomplished by Miss Woodside in a smooth-running manner man-ner that is remarkable. Everything is clean ,neat and served in a most approved fashion. The lunches are exceptionally fine, well prepared and in ample quantities. These usually consist of hot sandwitches, or other meat, vegetables, desert with hot chocolate or milk. The money which has been donated by the people of Milford is being well spent, according to Mrs. McFadden Mc-Fadden ,and Miss Woodside is to be praised for the splendid work she is doing. One of the sources of revenue to keep the school lunches going is the contribution that are, dropped into the V. F. W.'s Milk Fund bottles in the various stores. The collections from the bottles have been falling off the last few weeks, and the people are urged to drop their loose change in these bottles and keep the splendid splen-did work going. |
