Show "Undercover" Man Works Graft In Millard County County Sheriff Carl G. Theobald, I)( puty James Mitchell and W. M. Fisher, under cover man, armed with special search warrants searched six premises in East Millard County during dur-ing the week. The search resulted in one arrest, that being Bert Carling, at whose home it is alleged the officers of-ficers found a small quantity of home brew. The other warrants were served serv-ed and searches made on the premises premis-es of Jack Sly of Holden, George Brunson, Alma Brunson, Jas. Martin-l.-ile and John Doe Payne of Fillmore. It is understood that the undercover undercov-er man was working directly under the office of the county sheriff when these searches were made, he acted in similar way on the West side of Millard Mil-lard County where arrests were made nnd liquor found in two instances, that of Floyd Ivie and Dave Rutherford Ruther-ford of Lynndyl. Ivie paid a $50.00 line and Rutherford is being held pending a persistent violation charge. W. M. Fisher who has been in the employment of Fillmbre City and Sheriff Theobald for the past week had barely finished his services and received his pay, which amounted to approximately $100.00 when word was received from Utah County officers offic-ers that he was wanted on various charges by officers in the northern part of the state. Fisher had left Fillmore, but Sheriff Theobald apprehended appre-hended him at Cove Fort. He was turned over the the Utah County officers. of-ficers. Millard County Progress. |
