Show BEAVER LADIES ARE INJURED; CAR TURNS OVER NEAR PAROWAN Six Beaver ladies and two children narrowly escaped serious injuries Friday morning when a car in which they were enroute from Beaver to Cedar City, blew out a tire near Parowan Paro-wan and turned over. One member of the party received two broken ribs and a broken ankle, another a couple of broken ribs and the other bad bruises and slight cuts. The children escaped injury. The car, which belonged be-longed to Kent Morgan, was only slightly damaged. The party was composed of Miss Stella Burt, who received the fractured frac-tured ankle and ribs; Mrs. Maggie Powell, broken ribs and bruises; Mrs. Ida Dongaard, bruised on one shoulder should-er and one eye; Mrs. Jean Barton, shoulder bruised, Mrs. Claudia Morgan, Mor-gan, bad bruises; Mrs. Nancy K. Burt, suffered shock and bruises. lone Morgan, and Mrs. Dongaard's baby and little son Bert, escaped injury. The ladies were enroute to Cedar to attend a birthday party in honor of Mrs. Susie Walker, a daughter of Mrs. Nancy Burt's, when the accident acci-dent occuired. The ladies were all able to olimb out of the over-turned machine, except Mrs. Burt, who' is seventy-five years old. Passing motorists mo-torists assisted getting Mrs. Burt from the wrecked machine, and took her and her daughter, Miss Stella, to the home of Gates Burt in Parowan, where they were given first aid, by Dr. Burton. Gates and the doctor then went out and brought the remainder re-mainder ofthe party into town. Word was sent to Beaver and La-ban La-ban Burt, Fletcher Barton and Kent Morgan went to Parowan and brought the ladies home. All the victims of the accident are improving nicely. |
