The group of efficiency experts, who have been traveling over the road for the purpose of raising the standards stan-dards of efficiency in tiie different branches of service, spent several days in Milford last week. Engineers C. L. Ford and J. V. Reynolds have each made a trip to 'Frisco since the big snow and report some enormous drifts in many places along the line, especially in the cuts, the wind filling them in as fast as they are opened. Fireman Kenneth Hollis made a trip to Salt Lake last week, for the purpose of receiving medical attention. atten-tion. Engineer F. L. Swartfiguer gave up his run on the 5th district to take the Salt Lake extra board. Miss Wanda James has returned from Salt Lake where she spent several sev-eral days with her sister, Mrs. Wm. Smith, who has been ill for some time. Miss James reported her sister much improved when she left her. Several of the men who were cut off. the brakemen's board are back again. Glenn Malstrom, M. E. Hanley and R. K. Dixon are back in Milford, and Ray Mills is in Calier.te. Mrs. J. H. Copeland, wife of Dispatcher Dis-patcher Copeland, and little daughter, daugh-ter, Adelaide, are in tne east visiting Mrs. Copeland's sister, who is critically critical-ly ill. Mrs. H. G. Barnes, wife of Fireman Fire-man Barnes, of Caliente, was a Milford Mil-ford visitor on Monday and Tuesday. Mr. Esbenson, general roadmaster. and Bert Davis, road master at Caliente, Cali-ente, were Milford visitors Wednesday. Wednes-day. Guy Hamblin of the water service department, was a Milford visitor on Wednesday. Miss Eula Evans, formerly of the Ainch counter force, is attending the Lamson Secretarial school in Phoenix, where she is making very satisfactory-progress satisfactory-progress in a full business course. She also reports that her health is very much improved in the new location. |
