Show N. DA NEWSLKTS To Put Beacon Near Nada Men representing the government and the Western Air Express were in Nada one day last week making a survey of possible landing fields and sites for beacons and blinkers to mark the new "Skyway" for night flying between Los Angeles and Salt Lake City. They announced that a 2,000,000 candle power automatically controlled electric beacon will . be installed on Blue Knoll, two miles south of Nada. J. W. and Heber Meyers have been plowing and seeding twenty acres of rye for Carlton Culmsee. Mrs. G. R. Meyers and Mrs. R. R. McGinty went to Lund for a shipment ship-ment of ties for the Meyer ranch. Misses Norma Kemp and Loray Meyers spent a few days visiting Mrs. Oscar Stephenson recently. Mr. and Mrs. Rex Sperry and three children arrived Monday ' morning from Bloom, Utah, with a car of household goods. Mr. Sperry is our new section foreman. S. Mukai, the former foreman, went to Milford and Salt Lake the same day. The Stephenson family,' J. E. Parker, Park-er, and Miss Norma Kemp went to Cedar City Wednesday. O. M. Norris of Lund, and J. F. Dinwiddie are installing an engine at the Stephenson well. Take up Homiesteads J. E. Parker and W. M. White have recently made homestead entries. The former on 160 acres and the latter on a 320 acres additional under the Grazing Act. |
