Show LEGION AFFAIR GOES OVER WITH A BANG EX-SERVICE MEN VOTE TO PUT ON EVENT ANNUALLY A bad case of ennui seemed to have affected the entire town of Milford Saturday morning. It was merely the after-effects of the Forty-Niner's Ball, held the night before. Dancing, and play at the concessions continued strong until five o'clock in the morning. morn-ing. The Legion offered an evening of clean fun, and both the concession hall and the dance were well patronized. patron-ized. It was a success financially, and the Legionaires feel as though their efforts had been worth while. It was voted at a meeting of Milford Mil-ford post Tuesday evening to stage the Forty-Niners' Ball as an annual event, coming every year at some time in April. Inasmuch as the first attempt succeeded, the vets feel that the Forty-Niners' Ball can be made bigger and better next year, and become be-come looked forward to as a Milford Mil-ford institution. |
