Show f LEGION MONEY IS DEEMED SPURIOUS Dr. L. F. Kohler was a heavy winner at the Legion games Friday night; he walked out with a heavy roll of greenbacks. With his plunder, he sought out the next day Cleon Collins, who adds luster to Milford bro-gans bro-gans at Shorty's Barber Shop. The doctor called for a shine, and on completion of the job, . tendered in payment one of the Legion greenbacks. Cleon looked at the money, at the doctor, and gazed again in bewilderment at the bill. "I can't take this; its no good," said Cleon. "You're just all wet," replied Dr. Kohler, "that money is good at any American Legion store in the country." Cleon held his ground, and the rate of exchange on Legion money took a decided flop in Milford financial circles. |
