Show EXTENSION OF ROAD WANTED IN MILFORD LIONS SPECULATE ON STREET BETTERMENT Discussion of the possible extension exten-sion of county roads in the south part of town drew the conclusion of several Lions Club members this week that the county engineer's services ser-vices should be sought to fix lines on a new county road to run through the south extension of Milfortf. The road upon which county help will be asked really comprises a line for potential use as a Milford street, being in the town limits. The meeting of the club, held at the Union Pacific, was a quiet affair, af-fair, at which little of interest occurred. oc-curred. Some interest whs- aroused in Joe Murdock's comment that, according ac-cording to several people living out of town, Milford might well give thought to the roads from the flats, which people use to come, into Milford Mil-ford to trade, rather than expending I local efforts to get a short-cut to Panguitch. The main road .which has provoked unfavorable remarks is the farm road usually referred to as- the Sloan Road. . . To Meet at Frisco ' The Lions voted to hold their meeting meet-ing next week at Frisco, where they will have lunch at Mrs. James1 boarding house. They plan to have as their guests the officials of the Horn Silver Mine, and later, to go down into the mine, if the time be convenient for the mine management. Follies Director Here It was reported that Mr. Aldredge, who directed the Lions Follies Show last year, was here last week for the purpose of gaining the help of a few local businessmen in organizing organiz-ing a Lions Club at Delta. |
