Show o SCENERY FOR OPERA TO BE PAINTED BY H. S. ART STUDENTS With Miss Ellen Ford at the head of a staff of twelve selected artists, carpenters and stage hands, Hawaiin scenery is to be erected and painted. The idea of students painting scenery for school productions is a new one and a good one. It has been tried successfully in many of our Utah schools in the past years. It provides provid-es an opportunity for the art students stu-dents to express themselves and display dis-play their work to the public and brings more people into the work of producing an opera. The new scenery scen-ery will consist of back drops, wings, decorated with palm trees, native huts. One back drop will show the blue ocean, distant islands. The new scenery as planned, will give ample opportunity to art students, to express ex-press their talent. n |
