Show BALL TEAM PLANS ACTIVE SEASON That Milfoi-d ball fans are roing to enjoy a good base ball season is evident by the enthusiasm being displayed dis-played in the baseball circles and the support that is being accorded the n e w ly organized Milford team. The personnel of the team this season sea-son include a number of the old stand by in baseball and acquisition of several sev-eral new players who will add strength to the team. Barney Foth-eringham Foth-eringham has been elected manager for the season, with the following tentative line-up: Claude Horton and Dan Coleman, pitchers; Allan Carter, catcher; Spencer Schow, 1st; Sam Hickman, 2nd; Shadow White, short; Red Blackwell, 3rd; Lawrence Eas-ton, Eas-ton, Cass Root, Sherman Hickman, Howard Tanner and Tom Schow, in the out-field. Sunday the first game will be played play-ed on the local diamond with the Min-ersville Min-ersville team. This should be a lively live-ly game, as Minersville is playing good ball this year, having defeated Beaver one time and last Sunday only Jacked one pcore of repeating the dose on a return game. It is the plan of the county teams to form a four-team league this season, sea-son, which will include Beaver, Minersville, Min-ersville, Milford and Cedar City. A meeting" for the formation of the league lea-gue was held in Beaver Sunday, but as Cedar City failed to be represented represent-ed at the meeting, no definite arrangements ar-rangements were made. |
