Show DIES FIGHTING A BRUSH BLAZE John Lawsom aged 68 years, was found in a dying condition in a ditch north of the Virgin river about five o'clock last Thursday evening. All clothing was burned from his body with the exception of his hat and shoes. His body in places was burned burn-ed to a crisp and he died two hours later. He was unable to talk but managed to make it understood that his clothing caught fire when fight, ing a brush blaze which swept nearby near-by fields and consumed his shack and belongings. His clothing became ignited when he was endeavoring to carry his belongings from his house. Lawson was found by Ieaac Jones and David Rogers who were returning return-ing to town from the field. They were attracted by Lawson waiving his arms and upon investigating found the man lying in a ditch along the road just inside the fence.
