Show FIGHT OVER MAIL ROUTE TO KANAB Immediately after a part of Kan-ab's Kan-ab's citizens, upon instigation by a delegation from Cedar City and from the Union Pacific Railroad company had adopted a resolution requesting the postoffice inspector to recommend that mail to Kanab and Fredonia, Arizona, be routed from Cedar City, the Richfield Commercial club, strenuously stren-uously opposing this route, - started action towards retaining routing of this mail over the Federal Aid highway high-way No. 89. Mayor F. G. Martines, chairman of a committee selected by the Commercial and Lions clubs from Gunnison in the north and Fredonia in the south, had a great deal of correspondence cor-respondence with civic organizations of cities along the Grand Canyon highway, and reported at the Commercial Com-mercial club luncheon held Monday, that, according to information received re-ceived by him, only a part of the citizens of Kanab favored routing the mail over Cedar City, while the other part is strictly opposed to such a change.
