Show NO NEED FOR DULL DAYS Now that school has closed a number of young people are wandering restlessly around the house worrying their busy elders with the eternal question "What shfill I do to pass the time." It is a puzzle to these busy elders why anyone should worry about what to do with leisure time when their biggest worry is how to achieve leisure. Nevertheless, the youngsters are facing a 'problem of sorts and the parents might assist the children and relieve themselves of the nuisance of their restlessness by offering a few suggestions. There is no reason for a child or young man cr woman to be idle during the summer months in Milford. There are special activities ac-tivities for young people of every age. The older gins are being olljered a free course in home nursing. Younger ones can join the Four H Club recently organized and find activities in the various var-ious sections according to' their age and interests. Free musical instruction is being offered to those who wish to learn to play band or orchestra instruments. Even the youngest can be kept busy. A kindergarten is now organized where little ones will be taught for a small fee not only their a b c's but the valuable groundwork of all education, dicipline. Above all, there is a public library in Milford. Why , should anyone, no matter what his age, be puzzled for something with which to occupy his leisure time when he can have books for the asking and the neighbor's or his own shaded lawn for a reading room. |
