The hostesses served a delicious country supper to close a very pleasant plea-sant afternoon. Miss Beniti James of Black Rock spent Wednesday as the guest of Mrs. W. C. Cates and Mrs. C. A. liohn. We are glad to note that gravel hauling is being done on our short roads. The work is being financed by the State Relief fund and will furnish furn-ish a few days work for each man per month during the winter. Mrs. Harold Sautter left for Salt Lake on Monday afternoon to spend a few days with her mother, Mrs. Ben Johnson. Mr. Sautter will join her later when they will motor to iv.-ir future home in Omaha, Xebr., via the Santa Fe Trail. Almost every home on the Flat has had one or two members ill with influenza in-fluenza during the past week. The cases have been generally light and recovery rapid. Mr. and Mrs. Roy Snyder and two you ns; daughters of Los Angeles arrived ar-rived Wednesday afternoon to spend the Thanksgiving holidays with the W. W. Cook family. Our community was shocked and saddened by the sudden passing of Dr. Addison Bybee en Monday night. Ilis illness of influenza-pneumonia lasted but three days. A staunch friend, an eminent citizen and a wonderful won-derful physician has been taken. The entire community extends sympathy to the family so sadly bereft. |
