Show ENTERTAINS 4-H COOKING CLUB WEDNESDAY EVE Wednesday evening Mrs. M. H. Pool assisted by her daughter Ruth entertained the 4-H cooking girls club of Milford. Contest games were played. Those present were Itha Patterson, Marie Gillies, Marie Carlson, Selma Johnson, Margaret Moore, Alice Jones, Mae Kelley, Ardath Bird, Anna Mae James, Margaret Peterson Peter-son and Carol Smith. First prizes were won by Margaret Peterson and Selma Johnson, consolations conso-lations were won by Marie Gillies and Ardath Bird. H Mr. and Mrs. Rudolph Nielsen entertained en-tertained a party of friends at a New Year's breakfast of the first morn of the year. Mr. and Mrs. Myron Lewis entertained enter-tained at a six o'clock dinner on New Year's Day. A most enjoyable time was had by a large number of in-" in-" vited guests. Mr. and Mrs. Harry Livergood entertained en-tertained a number of friends at bridge Saturday evening. Refreshments Refresh-ments were served and a most pleasant plea-sant evening enjoyed. Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Kohler entertained enter-tained twelve of their friends at a New Year's breakfast. A number of friends of Mrs. Clarence Grimshaw surprised her in honor of her birthday last Monday evening. Bridge furnished the pastime pas-time of the evening, and a tempting lunch was served. PROGRESSIVE LUNCHEON A progressive luncheon was enjoyed enjoy-ed by fourteen young people New Year's eve. After attending the dance the crowd repaired to the home of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Anderson tor the "first course," and later the "second "se-cond course" was served at the home of Miss Hannora Hutchins. A most enjoyable evening is reported. Mr. and Mrs. Jos. Murdock, Jr. entertained en-tertained a number of their friends at a New Year's breakfast. The home of Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Fernley was the scene of a merry party on New Year's day, where Mr. and Mrs. Fernley entertained a number num-ber of friends at a delightful luncheon. lunch-eon. Music was enjoyed in the afternoon. |
