Show Vendetta of 12 Long Years Finds Success Najaf, Iraq. Discovery of the bodies of a money changer and his wife here reveals a vendetta pursued for 12 years by two brothers who followed Arab custom in hunting down and killing the family of a man who had wronged their sister in order to avenge the wrong and restore her honor. The girl herself had been murdered meantime, for when the brothers learned of the attack they killed her to obliterate the disgrace from their family. The money changer meantime fled to Najaf, changed his name and married. ' For 12 years the brothers sought him, but the quest had proved fruitless fruit-less until one of the brothers came here on a religious pilgrimage. There he recognized the man he sought and learning that he had married, hired two tribesmen to slay them both. The price for the two murders was less then $2.
