Show LIONS EMBARK ON NEW PROJECTS Having brought the dairy project to a point where the club could be of no further assistance, owing to the fact' only the details of financing purchase of the cows remain to be settled, the Lions felt that it was an opportune time to lend their energies toward road matters and cooperation with other southern Utah towns in exploiting exploit-ing the scenic attraction of this part of the state. Lion Geo. Jefferson having recently been elected vice president at a meeting meet-ing of the various southern Utah counties of an organization to be formed for this specific purpose, considerable con-siderable time was devoted to discussing discus-sing methods of making such an organization or-ganization a success. Mr. Jefferson will represent Beaver county at meeting to be held in Cedar City on the 20th to perfect the organization. He gave his ideas of how such an organization or-ganization could be made a great benefit to this part of the state, which met with the hearty approval of the membership present at the regular luncheon held at the U. P. dining roomjs Wednesday. I"-Another project decided on at the meeting was to make an attempt to have the Milford-Beaver highway oiled. oil-ed. The Lions will meet with the Beaver Lions on the 22nd and endeavor endeav-or to enlist their assistance in getting the project included in the state highway high-way budget for another year. |
