Show MASON-EASTERN STAR HOLD PICNIC 'v The Masonic and Eastern Star bodies bod-ies of Richfield, Cedar City and Milford, Mil-ford, held at picnic Sunday Aug. 31, at the Murdock Academy ground, at Beaver, celebrating the anniversary of the birth of Robert Morris, founder of the Order of The Eastern Star. Albert .Pike Lodge No. 14, of Milford, Mil-ford, LaMar Outzen, Worshipful Master, Mas-ter, and Ruth Chapter, O. E. S., of Milford, Mjrs. Lulu Mr Clay, Worthy Matron, were the hosts. Hiram Lodge No. 12, and Gloria Chapter No. 19, of Richfield sent the usual enthusiastic enthus-iastic delegation, which contributed largely to the success of the occasion. After luncheon a1 short program was rendered. Dr. Maxmillian Mark-us, Mark-us, Past-Master, and secretary of Hiram Hi-ram Lodge being the principal speaker. speak-er. Mrs. Pearl Moore, of Milford read a short article on the life and work of Robert Morris; Miss Nelson of Richfield Rich-field gave two delightful readings, and Mr. and Mrs. C. A. Rohn, and Mr. and Mrs. H. L. Livergood sang. After the program a baseball game was organized, under the Captaincies of Lamar Outzen and H. L. Livergood. Four fast innings were played resulting result-ing in a score of 29 for the White Sox and 27 for the bare legs. No errors were made. Albert Cline, of Beaver made the feature play of the afternoon, after-noon, stealing second base on his hands and knees. |
