Show MEXICANS WIELD WEAPONS WITH AN I EFFECTIVE RESULT TWO MEN PEEK MEDICAL AID AFTER STAGING SUNDAY FIGHT KNIVES USED A squabble developed in the Mexican Mexi-can quarter of town Sunday during the late afternoon, and two Mexicans were rather severely injured. Two of tHm, Francisco Lemos and Juan Cevas, are stilh under a doctor's care, while Carmen Arroyo swill likely receive re-ceive punishment by court. Judge Bert Nichols' court attempted attempt-ed Wednesday to arrive a,t the' cause and circumstances of the fighting. Henry Bowman acted as interpreter, County Attorney Murdock represented the county, and Sam Cline acted as temporary counsel for the Mexicans, Carmen is being held in jail, and Francisco was released on his own recognizance. Preliminaries were waived and both will be arrainged Monday morning at ten o'clock, to answer felony charges, that of assault with a deadly weapon with attempt to create great bodily injury. The reason for the fight seems to be clovded irr obscurity, but seems more than likely to have been occasioned occas-ioned simply by a flare-up of Latin blood. It is said that Carmen Arroyo visited his two friends Sunday, and brought his guitar. Slapping Francisco Fran-cisco jovially on the back, he invited the latter to sing with him. Francisco did not want to sing, so the men had a fight with knives. Juan joined the fray and was retired from active com-bot com-bot by a heavy blow over the head with a wrecking bar.
