Show DEATH OF MADAM BYBEE FOLLOWS THAT OF HER SON Madam Alameda Bybee passed away Sunday evening, November 27, at the home of her son Dr. Addison Bybee. She was ill only ten days, but pleuro-pneumonia developed on Friday, this with the shock of her son's death, hastened the end. This makes the second time death had entered en-tered this household -within a week and the tenderest sympathy of everyone every-one is extended. Madam Bybee was a delightful, lovely character and her pure christian faith shown in her daily life making her presence a benediction to those about her. Alameda S. Burns was born near Rochester, Indiana on April 28, 1853 and spent all of her early life in that vicinity. On December 31, 1873 she was married to Cyrus Bybee and to this union were born five children, three of whom died in early infancy. Her husband died in 1909 and with her two surviving sons, Addison and Delmar, she disposed of her ranch and cattle interests there and came west where she has since made her home with her boys. Four years ago she enjoyed nearly fifteen months visiting relatives and friends at her former Indiana home. She is survived by one son, Delmar, one brother, Harlan Burns and two sisters, Mrs. Eliza Halloway and Mrs. Minerva Bright. The remains were sent Tuesday afternoon af-ternoon to Mentone, Ind., with those of her son, Dr. Addison Bybee, accompanied ac-companied by Delmar Bybee. Funeral services will be held in Rochester, Indiana for Mrs. Bybee and interment of both bodies will be made in the family plot at that place. |
