Show u TO BUILD SEVENTH STREET DRAIN DITCH The Seventh street drain ditch will be enstructed. Bids will be opened on Saturday next. It is expected the work will be com-pleted com-pleted within a few weeks. The town council held a special spe-cial meeting on the night of March 25 to hear reasons, if any, why the ditch should not be built as planned. There had been some talk among lot owners west' of Seventh street to the! effect that the ditch should be built along the western bundary of town so as to cover the entire en-tire area, but the proposition d'd not take any definite shape. At the council meeting Mr. Wagoner Wagon-er brought the matter up and. it was fully discussed. He ar- jgued that while a dkch on West j Boundary street might cost more money, it would give more service. It was finally moved by Mr. Jones and seconded by Mr. 'Ode-kirk 'Ode-kirk that the report of the com-:mittee com-:mittee be accepted. The com- r. jmittee was composed of F. C. Powers and D. L. Carmody. They had estimated the cost of the construction of the ditch to be between $950 and $1,000. The drain district includes most of the lots from Seventh to Fifth street and "F" street to Duchesne Du-chesne river. The cost will be from $1 to $5 per lot. The cost of construction under streets will be paid by the city. The only protest filed against the proposition was filed by Dennis Den-nis Bany, who claimed that one of his lots, in the district, is lower than the bottom of the ditch.
