Show DOUBLE BIRTHDAY PARTY At Jos. H. Palmer's home a double birthday party was pulled off laet Sunday, one part being to celehriu the twelfth anniversary of t.'.o r daughter, Miss Lucy Palmer, and t.a other to celebrate the forty-nin - (Stop It quick; we nearly spilled the beans) and the other to celebrate a birthday of our joval, young, and handsome elegible( T. Paine Franklin. Frank-lin. The dinner, the birthday cakes, the genlalty, everything was Just exactly as It should have been; but we can't help it. It's in us and we must get It out. So here goes. Lucy had twelve candles on her cake, around the perimeter. (A perimeter per-imeter on a cake is the thickest coat of frosting.) Well, her cake was stuck on that thickest part with twevle. That was right for her. And on Paine'fl, we noted that Mrs. Palmer Palm-er had stuck seven rows of seven. We know a handsome young bud from Abraham, who Is posing In the columns of several Mat. papers as requiring only two rows of eleven, or eleven rows of two. But Mrs. Palmer waB right, we're sure. And we noted that he had a silver pocket pencil engraved "Pal"; we'd like to know who this "Pal" is, and whether wheth-er he answered her ad, or she answered ans-wered hls'n. Paine says his house Is already outfitted, excepting curtains on the front door which haven't visited his house yet "Well not to speak of." - The guests were Mr. and Mrs. William Howard, Mr. and Mrs. Guy Needham, Frank Needham, T. Paine Franklin, Mr. and Mrs. Beckwth, and Mlsa Athena Beckwith. A delightful time was had by all. We wish the "young" people many happy returnB of the day. . |
