Show Bishop Hurst Weds Bishop Albert L. Hurst and Mrs. Elzada Jackson were married recently. recent-ly. A surprise bundle shower was given them in the Princess Hall. Games, dancing and refreshments were the order of the evening. A good time was enjoyed by those present, pres-ent, who expresed the highest regard for the newly weds. Bishop Hurst is a sturdy character and one of the few pioneers who has weathered, the worst. Mrs. Hurst comes from St. George. She is an active and enthusiastic public worker, work-er, whose addition to Lynndyl community com-munity is much appreciated. Mr. and Mrs. D. W. Scannell were recent visitors in Salt Lake City. Mrs. Bay Sudbury of Salt Lake City is visiting relatives at Lynndyl. Mrs. W. T. Coleman entertained at a card party last Friday evening. There were five tables. The players enjoyed a good time and manifested a lively interest in the prizes offered. offer-ed. Refreshments were served during dur-ing the evening. Mr. and Mrs. George W. Sudbury spent Sunday in Salt Lake City. Mrs. J. A. Corbett and Mrs. Clinton Clin-ton Dutson entertained in honor of the birthday anniversary of Mrs. E. H. Lindsay. The centerpiece was a large birthday cake with candles. Contest gaes were played by all pres-jent, pres-jent, after which refreshments were served to twenty-six guests. |
