Show CHAMBERR jOF COMMERCE BANQUETS NEIGHBORS The Delta Chamber of Commerce held a very fine banquet at the Pahvant Pah-vant Hotel Monday night, and transacted trans-acted much .quite important business. busi-ness. The occasion of the affair was a good fellowship meeting with our good friends on both the north and the south. The Lynndyl Booster Club was down in a body of about fourteen, and Nels L. Peterson represented rep-resented Hinckley and Dan Black Deseret.. The Board of Goverors of the Delta Del-ta Chamber of Commerce thought that a real rousing good-fellowship meeting, at a common board, for a common cause would be the Incentive Incen-tive twoard the accomplishment of much good. The wisdom ot the move was well born out by the interest in-terest shown. Delta showed Lynndyl Lynn-dyl it waa with them hoof and horn on the matter of a good road from Hinckley to the Juab County line. Juab County has better country roads than Millard, and certainly the road from Silver City down as far aa finished and for part of the way In Dog Valley is better than the corresponding road In Millard. It was a very sociable time, and paved the way tor muoh good. It showed Lynndyl that Delta would work (with them. It showed Oasis, Hinokley, and Deseret that their cause was our cause, and our north neighbor's cause was the affair of both of us. And the many expressions, presenting present-ing many angles ot different viewpoints view-points showed that the consensus of opinion was erystalUed. and needing need-ing only a head, and push would be given It. From memory the committee com-mittee that is to tend to the matter is Nels L. Peterson, Dan J. Black, R. H.BHUnga. Pete Blftok, Reeve Richardson, Lawrence Hinckley, and I. N, Htnckley, member at large. Briefly the. matter of raising money mon-ey for an advertising fund was one that was just touched upon. A political recommenrattlon was suggested, which met with instant approval. It Is a real pleasure to meet with our neighbors, put our feet under a oommon board and discuss from |
