Show Sutherland Searchlights Mr. Harry Ottley is making improvements on his house. Sunday evening Miss Cleon Bunker entertained about twenty twen-ty of her friends with a chicken "feed". They report a dandy fine time and say it was the best chicken they ever ate. Everyone will be sorry to learn that Mr. and Mrs. Board-man Board-man are going to leave in about two weeks for California after selling their place to Mr. Livingston Living-ston of Salt Lake City. They went to Salt Lake Tuesday evening even-ing and expect to be gone several sever-al days, combining business and pleasure. The Jolly Stitchers met last Friday with Mrs. Keeler and Mrs. Isles at the home of the latter. A very pleasant afternoon after-noon was spent in laughing at riddles and stories. These ladies are making great plans for a bazaar to be given the early part of December at the Woodrovv school house. There will be aprons, candy and all kinds oi booths as well as a program and fishpond. Mrs. Marie Smith is in Delta and helping take care of C. 0. Davis' new boy. I understand that Harold and Doyle Steele are going to Logan to school. A large crowd from here attended at-tended the beet meeting in Delta Monday evening. Mrs. Denver Smith has the right idea about entertaining the young people. She has an ice rink in front of their place tc . skate on. Perry Abbott returned Tuesday Tues-day evening from Richfield and says he has the finest baby gir i in the country. He'll have tc ! show us as we're from Missouri. Oh yes, Mr. Iloldridge thinks the mule is the finest animal ir the U. S. since the election. He has several that bray exceeding- ' ly loud for Wilson which is contrary con-trary to his politics. |
