George Rowley and Tod Ashman have rented Tomk-lnson'a Tomk-lnson'a hall and have Introduced some new things In the way of management. The executive committee of the Millard Mil-lard Couuty High School Board met last Saturday at the High Shcool building. build-ing. The matter of a new High School building was gone over, but no decision decis-ion was reached. It Is likely that steps will be taken to have the building build-ing erected one year from the coming summer. The chief thing that the committee did that will Interest the public Is the authorizing of the faculty to hold school six days a week after the holidays. The main reason for this action whs the desire to get school over with earlier than otherwise In the spring and enable the parents to get more help from their sous. There Is no question but that the movement in this direction ia a good one, but as all changes are opposed by someone or other, It Is expected that a few will kick at this change. The Mother's Iengue met at Mrs. Katberlne Rasmussen'a last Friday. Their husbands were present. The chief excitement of the evening was a charade contest between Uie men on one side and the women on the other, in which tho men, without regard to the weakness of the opposite sex, shamefully defeated their fair opponents. oppon-ents. It is rumored that when spring oins active work will commence on an electric railway between Delta and Fillmore. I The Mothers' league will meet this Friday at the home of the Mrs. K K. Baisett. The Fillmore Shakespearian Dramatic Dramat-ic company are preparing to present a play of great dramatic force and educational edu-cational work soon after the holidays. Last week one of our citizens on returning re-turning home from a dance early In the morning, noticed as be approached his bouse, a momentary light through the window. The light appeared again, as If made by some one striking strik-ing matches. The gentleman did not appear very much alarmed over the circumstance, explaining to bis excited excit-ed wife that nothing was In the house thnt a burglar would carry off, remarking, re-marking, "If we leave him alone long enough he might drop something." The burglar, who no doubt was keeping a sharp look out, saw them approach, and easily made his escape through the back door. When the owner of the house lighted the lamp, what should be find on the floor but a pocket pock-et book containing several bank notes. A well known name waa written on the bather cover of the book. The one who left It on the floor may obtain ob-tain the book upon Identifying It, and the billa within It. Of course.
