Show HAVE YOU FILED YOUR WAR CLAIM YET? The American Legion is encouraging en-couraging all ex-service men who feel that they have any disabi-ity disabi-ity resulting from service in the army, navy, or marine corps during dur-ing the World War, to file their claims for compensation as early as possible. The greatest work of the Legion today in settling these claims is in furnishing the Government with sufficient evidence evi-dence to prove that the disability or disease is a result of service. The longer you delay in filing your claim, the greater will be the difficulty in getting the Government Gov-ernment to take satisfactoiy action ac-tion on if. All disabled ex-service men and women are entitled to compensation, hospitalization, dental and medical treatment, and vocational training provided provid-ed their infirmities were caused by war service. The best doctors in the country coun-try have said that a man who was gassed or suffered from influenza in-fluenza while in the service is liable to develop tuberculosis at any time. The amount of tuberculosis tuber-culosis among ex-service men is rapidly increasing, and in most cases this has been attributed to one of the two above causes. It is therefore a wise precaution for all ex-serivce men and women wo-men who were gassed or suffered suffer-ed with influenza to file their claims for compensation now. A new and condensed application blank has been issued by the U. S. Veterans' Bureau for filing claims for any of these advantages. |
