Show gave a Judgment for Drennan for the full amount of $10 and disallowed Pratt's counter claim. T. K. Tuggle left Tuesday for California Cali-fornia to send the winter. Mrs. Jack Thurston came home last week from Mllford, where she baa been residing for the last two month. John Workman returned Saturday from Heaver, where be baa been working work-ing on the new dam. Mrs. Cotterel entertained the Friendly Ladles at her home last Thursday. A large number of the ladles were present and were received by Mrs. Cotterel and her mother, Mrs. Salmon of Salt Lake. The usual amusements of the society took place In their usual manner. The house was adorned in white chrysanthemums chrysanthe-mums and at the close of the afternoon after-noon dainty refreshment a were served. The next meeting will be with Mrs. Ktta Underbill. The Presbyterian Sunday school children gave a temperance program fo rthe other members of the church. They recited verses and sang several songs. Mrs. Hamilton's aubject was also on temperance, which was the universal subject for the sermon throughout the world last Sunday. The skating rink Is now running smoothly on two nights a week. Ou Wednesday night the ladles are admitted ad-mitted free, but on Saturday there Is the regular admittance fee of 25 cents for everybody. Mrs. it. C. Pound sold his farm in West Delta Tuesday to Mr. Perry of California Cali-fornia for I Hi) an acre. Mr. Pound Is now looking for another farm near Delta to Invest in and later start to stock up In hogs. Mrs. January went up to Salt Lake Saturday for a few days' visit. The South Tract Water Users' Association As-sociation held their monthly meeting last Saturday night at the South Tract school house. They discussed the readjustment re-adjustment and the extensions of the yearly payments of the members' lands and devUed a means of arranging arrang-ing to stock up their farms with cattle cat-tle and bogs. James A. Melville, C. A. McClaln and Harry Prout went out from town to discuss the above topics with the Association members. Large herds of cattle and horses have been brought down from Pan-gultch Pan-gultch the pant week and have tbeen roaming over the south part of West Delta, doing considerable damage to the new fields of alfalfa. A civil service examination of candidates can-didates for the position of postmaster at Hinckley will be held at that place on December 13. There were representatives from every ward In the stake. The purpose of the meeting was to try .and work up a greater Interest In the work of the church by Its members. Some excellent advice was given and alt who attended felt that it had been a profitable meeting. On Sunday tbe conference of the Relief Society was held. The rejHjrts of the officers were heard In the morning and the afternoon after-noon was devoted to addresses relating relat-ing to the work of the society. Mrs. Kmeline II. Wells, the 85-year-old veteran of the Society, and Mrs. Joseph Smith of Salt Lake were present pres-ent and gave Interesting talks. The Delta Hotel was crowded with visitors last week. On Thursday seven California people arrived and ten from elaewbere. On Friday there were 19, Including the agricultural ex-Ierti ex-Ierti and their party. On Saturday there were seven and on Sunday 12, three of whom came from California. Delta gets more travel than all tbe other towns In the county. WANTED. A good girl at the Delta Hotel ' Fifty-three cars of grain have so far been shipped from Delta. Manager Maker of the Haker Lumber Lum-ber Co., was among the visitors to Delta last Friday. Hesldes tbe debate, recitations and music, there will be a vaudeville number by two sprightly girls especially secured for the occasion occas-ion at a big salary. Tbe editor went over to the Sevier Hridge Dam on Tuesday to see how the work that has been going on there since last May la progressing. Pratt and Mary Pratt was tried before Justice Ward. Attorney L. A. HoUenbek appeared for Drennan and Attorney Charles C. Y. Higglns of Salt Lake appeared for the Prat's. Drennan was suing for $!') contract for work done on Pratt's had. Pratt denied the obligation obliga-tion and put up a counter claim for S',40 for loss of crop.
