A social was given last Friday evening even-ing by the Immediate relatives and in honor of Mr. and Mrs. W. V. Adams who left here Saturday to take charge of the hotel and postofflco at Clear Lake. We wish them success in their labors. Mr. J. W. Greer, who has been attending at-tending school at Salt Lake, came down to pay his family and relatives a visit. A fine girl has been added to his family during his absence. A grand ball was given Friday evening even-ing for tho bee fit of the ball players. Our half holiday was celebrated by the first big hall game between the East and West Sides of town. The West Side took the lead until tho last two Innings by a score of 14 to 7, when the East Side shut them out with one (Milnt In the last two Innings and made eight runs, which made the score 16 to 15 in favor of the East Side.
