Show THE HINCKLEY happenings Milton Moody is in . the State Capital again looking after business busi-ness interests. Walter Bagshaw has gone out west where he has been employed employ-ed to shear sheep. Mr. J. J. Spendlove has moved from the residence of L. R. Cropper, Crop-per, Jr., to the home of James P. Terry. Born to Mr. and Mrs. Samuel T. Webb on March 29th a fine baby girl. Dr. C. A. Broaddus attending. Mrs. Chas. Burke left Monday evening for Provo where she will spend a week as the guest of her mother, Mrs. Mary E. Peterson. Mrs. Thomas Talbot, Sr. and Mrs. Thomas Talbot, Jr. of Oak City, spent a few days last week as the guests of Mr. and Mrs. George Talbot. Bishop and Mrs. A. Y. Stephenson Steph-enson and Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Wood came down from Holden by automobile last Saturday and returned Sunday. Principal and Mrs. L. A. Stevens Stev-ens are rejoicing over the arrival of a baby boy at their home on March 30th. Both mother and infant are progressing nicely. Miss Sylvia Christensen of Oak City has returned , to her home after spending the past three weeks in Hinckley, caring for the family of her brother Neils, during the recent illness of. his wife. Mr. and Mrs. J. H. Langston and daughter, Sarah, have returned re-turned from Lynndyl. Thay have decided not to move to their farm at that place for the summer but to stay in Hinckley. Mr. and Mrs. Robt. E. Robinson Robin-son pleasantly entertained a number of their friends at their home Monday evening. The evening was spent in parlor games and toothsome viands were served. It is announced that the M. I. A. meet of the Deseret Stake will be held in Hinckley on April 30th and May 1st. Besides the regular re-gular events there will be a contest con-test in Dramatics and athletic events between the scout patrols, Quarterly conference of the Deseret Stake was held here last Saturday and Sunday, The conference con-ference was very largely attended, attend-ed, there being six hundred and thirty eight present at the Sunday Sun-day afternoon session. All the people had a spiritual treat in listening to the timely and inspiring in-spiring sermons delivered by Apostles Grant and McMurrin and Elders, Wm. A. Morton and Oscar Kirkham. The Scouts of the Hinckley Ward took their first hike last Friday. The spillway grove was the place selected for the camp and forty eight, boys, carrying their bedding and provisions, under the direction of Scout Master, A. I. Tippits, left Hinckley Hinck-ley on Friday afternoon. Mr. Oscar Kirkham, who has all the Scout work in charge, visited the scouts in camp and complimented them verv highly on their work. The whole affair went off without with-out a hitch and all who made the trip'declare they had the time of their lives. |
