Show Sutherland Searchlights Lay Abbott is down with appendicitis, ap-pendicitis, but at this writing is recovering nicely. A good number of our male population were attending the Water Users meeting at Wood-row Wood-row last Saturday. There is another meeting at the same place next week to discuss items of advantage to the farmers. farm-ers. Don't forget the meeting of the Ladies Home Economics Club to be held at Mrs. Abbott's this week. Miss Helen Bunker spent Saturday Sat-urday in Delta, taking the teachers' examination. Laurence Abbott is erecting an addition to his house. Miss Agnes Hersliff is visiting Miss Helen Smith this week. The Jolly Stitchers met with Mrs. W. R. Walker last Friday. Their next meeting will be at the home of Mrs. Brown. Mr. and Mrs. Art Nillson have returned after spending the winter win-ter in Salt Lake City. Mr. Nillson Nill-son will take up farming again if he finds a proposition suitable to him. The new home of M. M. Steele, Jr., is nearing completion. It is a frame building of five rooms, plastered inside and altogether a neat little residence. Mr. and Mrs. Ed Henry of Panguitch, Utah, have come here with a view to making their home if they find a farm to suit them. Mr. Henry already alrea-dy owns 40 acres on the Midland Tract and is looking over the Tucker farm with a view to buying buy-ing that property. Mr. Tucker still continues to be very frail. |
