Show Scipio Sallies Jens Peterson sold a half lot adjoining his property on main street to Chns' Welch, who intends in-tends building a' good home on it soon. The home Economics Ass'n entertained en-tertained on Friday night with a meeting and social in the dance hall. Ortherns Memmott has bought the lot north of Lars Jensen's and is having a house erected on it Ortherns sold his home and lot in the south part of town to Milo Dykes of Holden. Mr. and Mrs. James Memmott of Nephi, came over to attend the Memmott Reuninon and dance last Saturday. Samuel Rowley, a pioneer of Scipio, died at his home here on Feb'y 28th after an illness of over a year. He had been confined con-fined to his bed for over ten months. Funeral services were held at the home Tuesday afternoon. after-noon. Lors P. Peterson, Mrs. Carl Robins and Wm. Memmott, Sr., were the speakers. Music was as follows: Violin solo, Mrs. Essie Robins, song by Rand McArthur and Norma Matthews and solo by Curtis Johnson. Interment In-terment was in the old burying ground. Mr. Rowley leaves three sons, Sameul, Jr., of Paradox, Par-adox, Colo., Ai, of Mills, Utah, and Joshua of Scipio, and six grandchildren. Mr. Rowley was a native of England, but came to the United States when a young man. He was seventy five years of age. Services were largely attended and floral offerings beautiful. |
