Show Republican Sen. Con. The republicans of Millard-Juab Millard-Juab counties met here in convention con-vention last Saturday afternoon for the purpose of electing a state senator, there being no other aspirant the name of president pres-ident A. A. Hinckley of the Deseret Stake, whose home is at Hinckley, was chosen for the place on the first ballot. T. lark Callister of Fillmore, presided at the meeting and the following other business was transacted: A campaign committee com-mittee consisting of 0. A Anderson, Ander-son, Delta, Joe Stott, Meadow, and T. C. Winn and George A. Sperry of Nephi were appointed. Resolutions were passed to the effect that the meeting favored the holding down of appropriations appropria-tions to within the income of the state, and that efforts be made to lower the tax burden of the people. Those present from Juab county were I. E. Deihl, Mammoth and Dr. Rees and T. C. Winn of Nephi. |
